Recently, Guide Capt Clayton led a 1 Night Hog Hunt for three Hunters who made the trip down to Americus, Georgia, to experience the thrill of Thermal Hunting. And let’s just say, the night did not disappoint.

Three Hunters, Three Hogs

Right from the start, these guys were locked in. After a solid game plan and some patient stalking, they got into position and let the thing that takes down the Hogs do the talking. The results? Three Wild Hogs down - two in one setup and another on a separate stalk. That’s the kind of action we love to see.

Of course, a Wild Hog Hunt isn’t just about the shots fired. It’s about the entire experience, and this night had a little bonus surprise waiting in the fields.

Shed Hunting Bonus

While leading the group on one of their Hunting Stalks, Clayton spotted something unexpected - a freshly shed deer antler. If you’ve ever Hunted the South, you know how exciting it is to find a good shed out in the wild. It’s a reminder of just how much life moves through these fields beyond the Pigs.

As it turns out, Clayton has a knack for finding these hidden gems. Over the years, he’s collected quite a few sheds, and to prove it, he showed off a few of his past finds in a way only Clayton can - balancing them on his head like a big ol buck.
