The Last Hunt Of The Season

Photo: Last Boar Of The Season

It was the last hunt of the season, and ended it with a bang with this Boar. The other guys got tired so Guide Clayton dropped them off at the hotel, and had one brave soul that wanted to keep searching for Wild Hogs and they found one. They started stalking it and it decided to cross the road to try and get into a field across the street so we crossed with it then both of us were met with a barbed wired fence so we then followed the Pig back onto the original field we saw it on. Had to take a shot at around 150 yards and this guy shot it right on the shoulder and dropped it. As you can tell by his face they were very excited to get one last kill before our crew heads to Alaska. Hello Fishing season.

Read till the end you won’t regret it. Peanut Protector Guide Clayton took father Norman, son Norman, and other son that was not Norman out on a Hog Hunting Adventure. This was there second night of Hog Hunting, on there first night of Hunting they saw 2 Wild Pigs stealing our nuts. They tried to stalk the pigs, but when they got close the piggies were done stealing and walked back into the woods. They ended the first night of Thermal Hunting watching the sun rise with no piggies. Sad day. The second hunt was all worth it. On the second night hunting they saw a group of 4 so they went to stalk them, but a group of smaller deer spooked the Pigs back into woods. Kept looking on the same field and found a Momma Sow & babies and shot the momma. When they were walking out of the field 2 of the 4 that they originally saw came back out so they set up real quick and shot those burglars in the face, and the butt just for good measures. Guide Clayton sent me a video of him falling after a possum hissed at him. He shouldn’t have sent me the video... “I am going to teach the next possum I see, how to fly”- Peanut Protector Clayton

Foggy Hog Hunts

Peanut Protector Guide Clayton took these guys Thermal Hunting last night. They have been Wild Hog Hunting with us before and came back for a redo hunt, because they saw nothing at all the first night. Also on their first hunt it was raining all day then misty and foggy all night which makes it tough to see through the thermal since thermal does not like moisture in the air. Last night was also misty and foggy and rained all day just like their first hunt, but this time they found Wild Pigs. The moment when you finally see Wild Hogs in a field, is the best feeling ever. They were able to take down 2 wild pigs. The pigs didn’t get back up.

We do things different in Americus, Ga. Last nights Hunt was an easy night. They killed some smaller Pigs from the same group they shot at last night. Our van is broke, so they had to hunt in a rental truck, but as you can see it still got the job done. A few words from peanut protector guide Clayton said “My old captain always used to tell me that the difference between a 4-wheel drive and a rental, is that a rental will go anywhere. My captain may be a bit old but he is correct. A rental will go anywhere.” Book a Hunt with us at Pig Problem, rental or van we can take you Hog Hunting.
