Two Nights of Hog Hunting with Peanut Protector, Guide Capt. Clayton

At Pig Problem, the team embraces the wild, unpredictable, and downright hilarious adventures that come with Hog Hunting. Recently, Guide Capt. Clayton, affectionately known as the Peanut Protector, had the pleasure of leading a fantastic group on a 2 Night Hog Hunting excursion, filled with unforgettable stories and plenty of laughter.

Night 1: Old Friends and New Adventures

Reuniting with familiar faces is always a treat in the Hunting world. On this trip, Andy and John returned after successfully Wild Hog Hunting with Pig Problem Inc two years ago. With excitement in the air, the Hog Hunt began.

Early in the night, the group spotted a small hog lounging in a peanut field, surrounded by a curious gathering of deer. The evening appeared to be brimming with potential!

As they carefully moved through the flipped peanut field, Andy and John found a good vantage point. After taking aim, they took two shots, successfully dropping the Hog. However, the excitement didn’t end there; as the group approached the Wild Hog, they realized it was still alive. In a great show of teamwork, Andy handed over his SIG P322 pistol, equipped with a suppressor and TLR8, to Capt. Clayton for the final dispatch, turning a tense moment into a shared experience.

Although the rest of the night was quieter—only spotting a few deer—the camaraderie on the Hunt kept spirits high. One particularly amusing instance was Andy’s unique countdown method whenever he prepared to take a shot. While our guides count down “3, 2, BANG,” Andy preferred “3, 2, Big Titties.” Capt. Clayton couldn’t help but chuckle at Andy's seriousness whenever he expressed this countdown style on the range.

Night 2: A Little Bit of Chaos

If Night 1 was memorable, Night 2 was nothing short of exhilarating. The group kicked off the night with the excitement of taking down 2 Wild Hogs and a Coyote .

Capt. Clayton quickly spotted a single Pig early in the night, but as they began their stalk, a deer started snorting loudly, spooking the Wild Pig back into the safety of the trees. Capt. Clayton humorously reflected on the situation, imagining himself choking out a deer right on the spot—a testament to his frustration with deer as the second least favorite animal to encounter at night. Number one on that list? Birds—Capt. Clayton had no love for birds either.

After a long stretch of quiet, the nighttime adventure picked up again around 2 AM, and the team had a solid opportunity to take aim at (another) coyote, resulting in a successful shot.

A Memorable Experience

While the first night had its challenges, the laughter and camaraderie made everything worthwhile. Each Wild Hog Hunt brings unique obstacles and surprises, and it’s often the unexpected moments—like deer creating chaos—that create the Best Hunting Memories.

As the Two-Night Hunting Adventure came to a close, the team expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share their passion for Nighttime Hunting with a group excited to embrace the wild experiences that come with it. Every adventure brings everyone closer together, creating unforgettable stories to cherish.

Thanks to Andy and John who joined Capt. Clayton on this Two-Night Hunting Trip. The crew at Pig Problem Inc is already looking forward to their next round in the field. Thermal Hog Hunt Report: Guide Kevin Leads Successful Nighttime Adventure

Pig Problem's Thermal Hog Hunt, led by Guide Kevin, recently wrapped up a thrilling and challenging night Hog Hunt that tested the skills of our Hog Hunters. Under the cover of darkness, our team embarked on a 10-hour Hunting Adventure from 7pm to 5am, utilizing the latest thermal imaging technology to track down their elusive targets.

The night was filled with excitement as our team stumbled upon a Massive Sounder of approximately 18 Wild Hogs, presenting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take down these Cunning Creatures. Despite the difficulty of Hunting moving targets, Guide Kevin and his team remained focused and determined.

After a well-placed shot, the team managed to take down one impressive Hog, a testament to their skill and expertise. However, it's worth noting that Hunting Wild Hogs is an extremely challenging endeavor, requiring precision, patience, and repeated practice.

As Guide Kevin pointed out, "Hunting Wild Hogs is not for the faint of heart. It's a rare individual who can hit a target that's running 15 miles per hour and stands only 3 feet tall." The Hunt is truly a test of skill and endurance, making it all the more satisfying when a successful kill is achieved.

Guide Hank led a 1 Night Hog Hunt recently with three Hunters facing a Giant Boar in the fields. The first couple of fields they checked proved to be unproductive, with no signs of life. However, perseverance paid off as they eventually found a Group of Pigs. As they walked up on the Pigs, the group scattered. Undeterred, they regrouped and continued searching until they found the Wild Pigs again in the field. The Hog Hunters got within 150 yards of the Hogs and successfully took down a Massive Boar, shooting at the others as they fled. While they only shot at the Wild Hogs that night, it was a great success and a Memorable Hunting Experience for the group. Guide Hank's expert guidance and determination ensured a Successful Hunt, and the Hunters left the field feeling accomplished and satisfied.

Guide Capt Max led Dan and Karl on a Thermal Hog Hunt at Pig Problem. The night started slow, but after midnight, it seemed as if all Hogs in South Georgia was out and about. Throughout the night, the Hunters took down three Hogs, each shot bringing them closer to their Hunting Goals.

Capt Max was grateful for Dan and Karl choosing to come back to Americus, Ga for another Hog Hunting Adventure with his team. He guided them through the fields, carefully positioning them to take aim and fire at their targets.

Dan and Karl were thrilled with their Successful Hunt, amazed at the Abundance of Hogs in the area. They thanked Capt Max and his team for the fantastic experience and promised to return for more Thrilling Hunts in the future.

Calling The Mighty Pig Gods

Photo: Thank You Pig Gods @PigProblem

Guide Capt Max had been leading Wild Hog Hunts at Pig Problem for years, but this particular night was shaping up to be one for the books. The first night had been long and challenging, with the Hogs proving to be elusive and cunning. But Guide Capt Max knew that perseverance was key in any Thermal Hunt, and he was determined to make the most of the second night of Hog Hunting.

As the group set out into the darkness, the air was thick with anticipation. The Wild Hogs were out there somewhere, waiting to be found. Guide Capt Max called upon the Pig Gods for assistance, knowing that their guidance would lead them to success.

The team moved through the dense underbrush, their senses on high alert. Suddenly, a rustling in the bushes ahead caught Guide Capt Max's attention. He signaled for the group to stop and listened intently. Sure enough, the distinct sounds of snorting and Grunting filled the air.

With expert precision, Guide Capt Max led the group towards the source of the noise. The Pigs were close now, their scent strong in the air. It was time to make their move.

As the Wild Pigs burst from the undergrowth, the group sprang into action. Shots rang out, and the Hogs fell one by one. Guide Capt Max watched with satisfaction as the Pile Of Hogs grew larger and larger. The Pig Gods had truly smiled upon them this night.

As the Hog Hunt came to an end, Guide Capt Max couldn't help but reflect on the thrill of the chase. Every moment of the night had been Milked for all it was worth, and the team had emerged victorious. Another Successful Hunt at Pig Problem Inc, thanks in no small part to Guide Capt Max's expert leadership.

On a moonlit night, Guide Capt Ben led an intrepid group through Pig Problem in Americus, GA, for a 1 Night Thermal Hog Hunt. The evening's first encounter was with a Solitary Boar luxuriating in a waterhole, a remnant of the previous night's rainfall. The team crept up to a 70-yard distance, took aim, and fired. Wounded, the Boar plunged into the deepest part of the pool, turning its retrieval into an unexpected adventure.

Later, the group pressed on to Plains, Ga, where fortune smiled upon them with a sighting of a Sounder. With the wind in their favor, they bided their time until the Hogs shifted position. As they initiated their stalk, most of the Wild Hogs retreated into the trees, but two lingered in the open. Shots rang out, and a Gilt was cleanly taken down in the field, providing an abundance of Prime Meat.

Despite the challenging weather conditions, the team managed to find their first Hog along the trees and take it down with a single volley. They then tracked down a second pig after it returned to the field, a nice sized Wild Boar weighing in at 250lbs. Despite the adverse weather, the Hunt was a success thanks to Guide Capt Ben's expertise and leadership.

Brett, Brandt, and Damien joined the Hunt, with Damien celebrating his 17th birthday. The group didn't see their first Hog until 2 AM, but it didn't matter as they were able to drop the Big Boar about 200 yards away. Moving to the next field, they spotted another Wild Hog and sealed his fate with a single shot. The group had a successful Birthday Hunting Celebration with two Pigs taken down on this memorable night.
