Experience the Best in Thermal Hog Hunting with Pig Problem

At Pig Problem, we specialize in Guided Thermal Hog Hunts in Americus, Georgia, offering Hunters an Unforgettable Hunting Experience while helping local farmers protect their land. Wild Hogs are one of the most destructive invasive species in the country, tearing up farm fields, ruining crops, and causing millions of dollars in damage. Our Wild Hog Hunts give you the chance to put your skills to the test while making a real difference.

The Challenge of Hunting Wild Hogs

HogHogs are smart, fast, and unpredictable, making them a tough animal to hunt. They are mostly nocturnal, moving and feeding under the cover of darkness. That’s where Thermal Equipment come into play—our High-End Thermal allow Hog Hunters to detect Heat Signatures, giving them an edge in Spotting Hogs that would otherwise be invisible in the night.

One of the biggest challenges of Hog Hunting is dealing with a Sounder—a Group of Pigs traveling together. When shots ring out, the entire group scatters, turning a well-placed first shot into a chaotic, fast-moving target challenge. These Wild Pigs can hit full sprint in seconds, making follow-up shots a true test of skill. It’s an adrenaline rush like no other.

Just ask Jeff, a longtime customer who knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s one of the best shots we’ve ever had, taking down 10 pigs in a single night by himself. That’s the kind of excitement and skill that makes Thermal Hog Hunting so addictive.

Helping Local Farmers, One Hunt at a Time

At Pig Problem Inc, we’re not just about the Thrill of the Hunt—we’re here to help farmers reclaim their land. Wild Hogs destroy crops, root up pastures, and even damage irrigation systems. By targeting these invasive pests, we help reduce the destruction they cause and keep local farms in business. Every Guided Hog Hunt is another step toward controlling the growing hog population.

Whether you’re an Experienced Hunter or trying Thermal Hunting for the first time, Pig Problem delivers an unmatched Hunting Experience. Our Hunting Guides are experts at stopping for nothing to find Wild Hogs, setting up successful shots, and making sure you have a night to remember.

Hunting Report:

2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Clayton

Hog Hunting

At Pig Problem, no two nights of Hog Hunting are ever the same. Sometimes the Pigs cooperate, sometimes they don’t—but that’s what makes the chase so exciting.

Night 1:

A Quick Opportunity

Guide Clayton kicked off a 2 Night Hog Hunt with a group eager to take down some Wild Hogs. Not long after heading out, they Spotted a Sounder feeding in a Farmer’s Field. With the Thermal Equipment dialed in and a solid shooting position, the Hunters lined up their shots. The crack of suppressed things that google doesn’t like cut through the night, and when the dust settled, 2 Hogs were down. The rest of the Sounder scattered into the tree line, leaving no more opportunities for follow-up shots.

Despite covering more ground and checking multiple fields, no other Pigs presented themselves for the rest of the night. That’s just how it goes sometimes—some nights, it’s nonstop action, and others, the Wild Pigs get lucky.

Night 2:

The Ones That Got Away

Going into the second night, expectations were high. The group had already put Piggy’s on the ground, and they were eager to add to their tally. But this time, the Hogs had different plans. Field after field, they checked feeding areas, scanned tree lines, and waited for movement, but the pigs never showed.

That’s the challenge of Hunting Free-Range Wild Hogs—they’re unpredictable, and sometimes they simply disappear into the thick cover, leaving Hog Hunters with nothing but a long night of searching. Even without pulling the trigger, the experience of working fields under Thermal is always an adrenaline rush.

The Hunt Continues

While the second night didn’t produce a kill, the Guided Hog Hunt itself was still a success. The first night’s quick action proved that with the right timing, skill, and a bit of luck, Hunters can put pigs on the ground. And the slow second night? Well, that just builds the anticipation for the next Thermal Hunt.

Wild Hogs are Relentless, destructive, and always on the move. If they don’t show one night, they’ll be back soon enough. Ready to take your shot? Book a Wild Hog Hunt with Pig Problem Inc and see for yourself!

Hunting Report:

Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Clayon

Thermal Hog Hunting

At Pig Problem, we’ve seen just about everything on a Hunt. Wild Hogs are unpredictable, the terrain can be challenging. Guide Clayton recently led a Hog Hunt that started with some unexpected challenges and ended with a banger in Wild Hog Hunting.

A Hunt to Remember

The first field of the night gave us a quick opportunity—a Single Pig stepped out, and thankfully, it was just 200 yards from the Hunting Van. Dennis was an incredible guy and his family—positive, determined, and just happy to be out there. And when that Pig presented itself, the group made it count. One shot, one Hog Down. Unfortunately, that was the only Wild Pig we saw all night. After covering multiple Farm Felds and scanning every likely spot, the Wild Hogs just weren’t cooperating.

After a slow first night, the second night had to be better… right?

Wrong. The Pigs had vanished. We hit as many spots we could, scanning with thermal, watching tree lines, and hoping for even a glimpse of movement. But the fields were empty, and the night ended without a single shot fired. Some nights are like that. Hogs are smart—they move constantly, and when they don’t want to be found, they won’t be.

The Hunt Goes On

The Thermal Hog Hunt was an experience to remember. That’s the reality of Wild Hog Hunting—every night is different, and you never know what you’re going to get. Whether it’s a Sounder in the perfect spot or a night of tracking ghosts, it’s always an adventure.Thankfully there was no ghost pigs.

If you’re ready to take your shot—no matter what the night throws at you—book a Hunt with Pig Problem today!

One Shot, One Hog:

A Night Hunt with Pig Problem

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Hog Hunting is always unpredictable, and every Thermal Hunt tells a different story. Some nights, we cover miles scanning field after field, while others, the action starts right away. That was the case on a recent 1 Night Hog Hunt led by Guide Clayton, where the first field we checked turned out to be the only one we needed.

Our group rolled out at sunset, ready for a night of Thermal Hog Hunting. It didn’t take long to find what we were looking for. As we pulled up to the first field, a Lone Hog stepped out about 200 yards from the van—a perfect setup. With pew pews dialed in and everyone in position, the Hunter took his shot. A clean hit Dropped the Hog right where it stood, making for a quick and Ethical Harvest.

Though the night was quiet after that first successful shot, the team was in good spirits. Sometimes, all it takes is one well-placed shot to make the Hunting Trip a success. Another Guided Hog Hunt in the books, another story to tell, and another Wild Hog taken off the land.

At Pig Problem, we know that every Hog Hunter comes with their own story, and we’re here to make sure they leave with a great one. Whether it’s your First Hog or your hundredth, we’re ready to get you on target.

Battling the Elements & Bagging Hogs with Guide Hank

Night Hunting

Photo: “Put Your Hands Up” @PigProblem

At Pig Problem, we know every Hog Hunt is different—some nights are nonstop action, and others test your patience. But no matter what, we adapt, strategize, and make the most of every opportunity. Guide Hank just wrapped up a 2 Night Hog Hunt, and it was a prime example of how Unpredictable Hog Hunting can be.

Night 1:

Deer Everywhere, Pigs Nowhere

The first night started with promise—plenty of deer moving through the fields, but the Pigs were nowhere to be found. As the night went on, the reason became clear. A massive storm was rolling in, bringing heavy wind, rain, and lightning. Right before it hit, the fields went dead silent—no movement, no signs of life. The animals knew what was coming, and so did we. Instead of pushing our luck and getting soaked, we called it early, knowing we’d have another shot the next night.

Night 2:

Success in the Wind

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hogs Down @PigProblem

The second night brought its own challenge—strong winds—but we weren’t about to let that stop us. After covering a lot of ground with little to show for it, we finally spotted a couple of Wild Pigs. Using the tree line for cover and staying out of the moonlight, we made a short stalk into range. A couple of well-placed shots later, we had our Hogs for the night.

Even though we checked several more fields without luck, the Wild Hog Hunt was still a success. That’s Hog Hunting for you—some nights are easy, others make you work for it. But with persistence, smart tactics, and a little patience, the payoff always comes.

Want to test your skills against Unpredictable Wild Hogs? Book your Hunt with Pig Problem and see if you have what it takes.

Guide Clayton led the Hog Hunt, but the real credit went to Zev for scouting ahead and finding the Hogs. With the right setup, all that was left was to move in. The Hog Hunters stayed focused, took their shots, and successfully brought down a Wild Hog.

After a long night in the field, exhaustion set in, but the results spoke for themselves. Another Successful Hunt, another Great Hunting Experience for the hunters. Nights like these remind us that preparation, teamwork, and patience always pay off. If you’re ready for your own Thermal Hog Hunting adventure, Pig Problem is the place to be. Late-Night Success:

A Two-Night Hog Hunt with Guide Clayton

Hog Hunting is always an adventure, but some Hog Hunts stand out as particularly memorable. That was the case for Glenn and Erik, two Returning Hunters who joined Guide Clayton for another action-packed Two-Night Thermal Hunt with Pig Problem. Having Hunted with Clayton the previous year, they knew they were in for a good time—and the results did not disappoint.

Night One:

Off to a Strong Start

Hog Hunting

Photo: Boar Down @PigProblem

From the start, it was clear that Glenn and Erik were excited to be back in the fields, ready to take down some Hogs. Their first night out, the trio worked together to track a group of pigs in the fields, using their Thermal Equipment to scan the landscape. With a well-placed shot, they put a solid Wild Boar on the ground, kicking off the Boar Hunt on a high note.

For these guys, it wasn’t just about the Hunt—it was about the experience. Wild Hog Hunting alongside a guide they already knew and trusted made the night feel less like a Guided Hunting Trip and more like a hunt with old friends.

Night Two:

A Hunt to Remember

The second night turned into an endurance test, pushing well into the early morning hours. In a now-familiar pattern, the Wild Hog Hunt stretched all the way to 5 AM, proving once again that patience and persistence pay off in Thermal Hog Hunting.

The wind was not in their favor, blowing directly toward the Pigs from the van. Knowing they had to adjust their strategy, Clayton and the Hunters made a quick decision—they booked it across the field in a last-ditch effort to get into a better position. Clayton climbed onto a pivot to get a better vantage point, hoping the Wild Pigs hadn’t moved. Miraculously, they were still right where they had been, offering the perfect opportunity for a clean shot.

But this Thermal Hunt wasn’t just about strategy and skill—it also came with some unexpected humor. As the team settled into position, the silence of the night was suddenly interrupted. One of the Hunters, unintentionally lightened the mood, causing a brief but hilarious pause in the action. Holding in their laughter was almost as difficult as the stalk itself, but once they regained composure, they got back to business and successfully dropped two Wild Hogs before the night was over.

The Thrill of the Hunt

For Glenn and Erik, we hope this Hunting Trip was more than just another Pig Hunt—it was a chance to return to the fields, enjoy the challenge, and create new memories. For Clayton, it was another reminder of why he loves Guiding Hunts. He might joke that luck plays a big role in his success, but his ability to adapt, make quick decisions, and keep the hunt fun and engaging is what keeps Hog Hunters coming back year after year.

These two hunters have already made it clear—they’ll be back next year for another Unforgettable Hunt. Until then, the Farm Fields of Georgia will keep calling, and the hogs will keep running. But not for long.

A Mother-Son Hunt:

Putting in the Work for a Wild Hog

At Pig Problem, we love taking kids out and introducing them to the excitement of Hunting. There’s something special about watching a Young Hunter learn, grow, and experience Hog Hunting. Recently, Guide Clayton led a 1 Night Thermal Hog Hunt for a mother and son hunting trip - an adventure that proved just how rewarding the Hunt can be.

The Hunt:

Hard Work Pays Off

Boar Hunting

Photo: Boar Down @PigProblem

Hunting isn’t easy, and this Hog Hunt was no exception. The night was long, and the Hogs weren’t making it simple. But Clayton put in the work, covering ground, scanning fields, and adjusting tactics to get them on Pigs.

Finally, after hours of persistence, at 6 AM, their patience paid off - they took down a Wild Hog. That’s the thrill of the Wild Hunt. It’s not supposed to be easy. That’s what makes it worth it.

Why Getting Kids into Hunting Matters

Hunting Pigs In Georgia

Pig Problem

Two Nights in Georgia with Guided by Capt Clayton

Hunting is unpredictable. Some nights, the Pigs are everywhere. Other nights, it’s just you, the fields, and the waiting game. This past 2 Night Thermal Hunt with Guide Capt Clayton had a little bit of everything - some frustration, some bad luck, and ultimately, a couple of successful shots.

Night One:

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: One Hog Down @PigProblem

The first night out was slow. Real slow. Just one Wild Pig spotted all night long. A Coyote and a Possum crossed our path, but now they can’t do that anymore... The one Hog that did show up didn’t make it out either. Clayton wasn’t feeling his best, and by the end of the night, the only thing on my mind was hoping he wouldn’t wake up sick.

Night Two:

Guided Hog Hunting

Photo: Got Em @PigProblem

The Hog Hunt started with a different kind of loss - Guide Claytons $400 ear protection. After searching high and low, finally he found them… in the washing machine. So now, he gets to spend another $400 replacing something he already had. Gotta love it.

As for the Wild Hog Hunt, the Pigs weren’t exactly cooperative. Only one showed up on there side, and he was sound asleep when they found him. He didn’t stay that way for long. A quick wake-up call, and he was down for good. Meanwhile, the Thermal picked up a whole group of hogs in an orchard where they couldn't step foot. All we could do was watch as they did what Wild Hogs do best - eat and cause destruction.

Pigs In A Pecan Orchard

Now, back home, Peanut Protector Guide Capt Clayton was winding down with some YouTube gum videos, keeping him entertained, and calling it a wrap on another Thermal Hunt. Some nights are packed with action, others test your patience - but that’s the way it goes in the world of thermal hog hunting.
