April Hunt Recap from Pig Problem

This past week, Guide Capt Max and our newest team member, Caleb, headed out for a Two-Night Hog Hunt with a great Group of Hunters. Caleb is currently training under Max’s wing, and this Hunting Trip was a perfect opportunity to gain some solid experience in the field. Here’s how it went down.

Night 1:

Weather Delays, But Worth the Wait

Hog Hunting In Georgia

Photo: Hog Hunting @PigProblem

The first night started off slow. The usual signs of activity just weren’t there early on, and before long, the skies opened up with rain and thunder rolling through the area. It looked like we might have to pack it in, but after a bit of patience, the storm passed—and so did our luck.

Not long after the skies cleared, movement picked up. A Single Hog made its way into the Farm Field, and our Hunters were ready. Let’s just say they made the most of the opportunity. That one moment turned the whole night around.

Night 2:

Slow Action, Great Company

Night two was quieter. Wild Hog movement was minimal with only a few coyotes and the occasional deer sighting. Sometimes the Pigs just don’t want to play the game, but that’s part of what makes each Hog Hunt unique.

What the night lacked in action, it made up for in laughs and good company. These Hog Hunters were a great group—stories were shared, jokes were flying, and memories were made. That’s what it’s all about.

Caleb’s doing an awesome job getting up to speed under Max’s guidance, and we’re excited for the future as he becomes part of the regular guide team.

Until next time—stay ready, stay sharp, and we’ll see you in the fields for Thermal Hog Hunting.

Late-Night Success:

A Hunt with Guide Clayton

Hog Hunting

At Pig Problem, we’re no strangers to long nights in the field, but some Hog Hunts test patience more than others. Guide Clayton recently led a group on a 1 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the Pigs didn’t make it easy, persistence paid off in a big way.

A Slow Start, A Big Finish

Clayton and his Hunters covered miles of farmland under the cover of darkness, Scanning Fields and tree lines for any sign of Wild Hogs. But despite hours of effort, the night remained frustratingly quiet. Not a Single Pig showed up—until 5 in the morning.

But when the Wild Pigs finally did appear, they came in numbers. A Sounder of 30+ Hogs spread out across the field, feeding and moving cautiously. With daylight fast approaching, the Hog Hunters had only one chance at getting the job done.

Long Shots and Big Drops

The setup wasn’t perfect—tough terrain and less-than-ideal angles forced the group to take longer shots than usual. But with steady hands and the right gear, they made their moment count, Dropping 2 Hogs before the rest of the Sounder scattered.

The Grind Pays Off

Some nights, the Feral Hogs come easy. Other nights, they keep you waiting until the last possible moment. But that’s part of what makes Thermal Hog Hunting such a thrill—you never know what the night will bring.

Big thanks to Clayton and his hunters for sticking it out and making the most of the opportunity. At Pig Problem Inc, we Hunt hard, no matter how long it takes. Want to test your skills on a Night Hunt of your own? Book your Wild Hog Hunt today!

Hunting Report:

2 Night Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Clayton

Hog Hunting

Photo: I Think The Pig Has Something On Its Back… @PigProblem

At Pig Problem, no two nights of Hog Hunting are ever the same. Sometimes the Pigs cooperate, sometimes they don’t—but that’s what makes the chase so exciting.

Night 1:

A Quick Opportunity

Guide Clayton kicked off a 2 Night Hog Hunt with a group eager to find some Wild Hogs. Not long after heading out, they Spotted a Sounder feeding in a Farmer’s Field. With the Thermal Equipment dialed in and a solid positions, the Hunters lined up for success. The crack of suppressed things that google doesn’t like cut through the night, and when the dust settled, 2 Hogs . Success. The rest of the Sounder scattered into the tree line, leaving no more opportunity.

Despite covering more ground and checking multiple fields, no other Pigs presented themselves for the rest of the night. That’s just how it goes sometimes—some nights, it’s nonstop action, and others, the Wild Pigs get lucky.

Night 2:

The Ones That Got Away

Going into the second night, expectations were high. The group had already had these Piggy’s relocated to a new home, and they were eager to add to their tally. But this time, the Hogs had different plans. Field after field, they checked feeding areas, scanned tree lines, and waited for movement, but the pigs never showed.

That’s the challenge of Hunting Free-Range Wild Hogs—they’re unpredictable, and sometimes they simply disappear into the thick cover, leaving Hog Hunters with nothing but a long night of searching. Even without finding any, the experience of working fields under Thermal is always an adrenaline rush.

The Hunt Continues

While the second night didn’t produce any pigs to a new home, the Guided Hog Hunt itself was still a success. The first night’s quick action proved that with the right timing, skill, and a bit of luck, Hunters can put pigs in new homes. And the slow second night? Well, that just builds the anticipation for the next Thermal Hunt.

Wild Hogs are Relentless, destructive, and always on the move. If they don’t show one night, they’ll be back soon enough. Ready to take your hunt? Book a Wild Hog Hunt with Pig Problem Inc and see for yourself!

Hunting Report:

Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Clayon

Thermal Hog Hunting

Photo: Hog Hunting

At Pig Problem, we’ve seen just about everything on a Hunt. Wild Hogs are unpredictable, the terrain can be challenging. Guide Clayton recently led a Hog Hunt that started with some unexpected challenges and ended with a banger in Wild Hog Hunting.

A Hunt to Remember

The first field of the night gave us a quick opportunity—a Single Pig stepped out, and thankfully, it was just 200 yards from the Hunting Van. Dennis was an incredible guy and his family—positive, determined, and just happy to be out there. And when that Pig presented itself, the group made it count. One chance, one Hog. Unfortunately, that was the only Wild Pig we saw all night. After covering multiple Farm Felds and scanning every likely spot, the Wild Hogs just weren’t cooperating.

After a slow first night, the second night had to be better… right?

Wrong. The Pigs had vanished. We hit as many spots we could, scanning with thermal, watching tree lines, and hoping for even a glimpse of movement. But the fields were empty, and the night ended without a single pig was relocated to a new home. Some nights are like that. Hogs are smart—they move constantly, and when they don’t want to be found, they won’t be.

The Hunt Goes On

The Thermal Hog Hunt was an experience to remember. That’s the reality of Wild Hog Hunting—every night is different, and you never know what you’re going to get. Whether it’s a Sounder in the perfect spot or a night of tracking ghosts, it’s always an adventure.Thankfully there was no ghost pigs.

If you’re ready to take your chance—no matter what the night throws at you—book a Hunt with Pig Problem today!

Some Hog Hunts stand out not just for the number of Hogs rehomed but for the way they it goes down. When Guide Zev took four Hunters out for a 2 Night Hunt run, he knew pretty quick - these guys were locked in.

That’s about as high a compliment as you’ll get from him. And it was well-earned.

Over two nights, the team relocated five Wild Hogs. The wind was a problem, shifting when it wasn’t supposed to, costing them some opportunities. But that’s Hog Hunting - adapt or go home. These guys stayed on point, made their chances count, and got it done.

If you want to see what a real Thermal Hog Hunt looks like, book your Hunting Trip with Pig Problem. Bring your A-game, and maybe - just maybe - you’ll get Zev’s seal of approval too.

Two Nights in the Fields

Photo: You Can Run But These Guys Can Handle That… @PigProblem

When you book a hunt with Pig Problem, you’re signing up for an experience like no other - Stalking Wild Hogs under the cover of darkness, Scanning Fields Through High-Tech Thermal, and putting your skills to the test against one of the smartest, toughest animals in the South.

Recently, Guide Capt Clayton led a group of 5 Hunters on a Two-Night Hunting Adventure through the farmlands of Americus, Georgia. With clear skies and cool temperatures, conditions were looking good for some solid Wild Hog Action.

Night One:

Success in the Field

The first night kicked off strong. After a short briefing and a few practice chances to get comfortable with the gear, the Hunters loaded up and rolled out under the glow of a rising moon. It didn’t take long to find a Hog .

Patience paid off when the team spotted movement in the distance. A Quick Stalk brought them within range, and with a well-placed chance from 400 yards away, they had their first Wild Hog relocated to a new home. Cheers and handshakes followed, along with a few photos to capture the moment. With the night still young, the group pressed on, but the Pigs proved elusive for the rest of the Wild Hog Hunt.

Night Two:

The Challenge of the Hunt

The second night brought new challenges. Despite covering a lot of ground and spotting a few promising heat signatures, the Wild Pigs just weren’t cooperating. Sometimes they stayed just out of range, other times they vanished before a stalk could happen.

By 1 a.m., the group made the call to wrap up early. That’s the reality of Hog Hunting - Wild Animals sow a script. Some nights they’re everywhere, and others, they play hard to get. But that’s what makes it exciting.

A Hunt to Remember

Even without a second-night harvest, the experience is one to remember. The Hog Hunters got to put their skills to the test, see the land through a Thermal Equipment, and share the highs and lows of the Hog Hunt with good company. That’s what it’s all about - camaraderie, adventure, and the thrill of the chase.

Night Hunting

A Memorable Night of Hog Hunting with Guide Hank

Night Hunting

Photo: Night Hunting @PigProblem

In The World of Hunting, every Hog Hunting Trip offers a Unique Hunting Experience, and sometimes those experiences may not involve a flurry of action. Recently, a group of four eager Hunters joined Guide Hank for a 1 Night Hog Hunt that showcased the thrill of the chase, even when the night unfolded a bit differently than expected.

A Slow Start Turns Into Success

Photo: We Love To See This @PigProblem

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the team set off to a field in Albany Ga, their hearts filled with anticipation. The atmosphere was electrifying, yet the Hunting conditions proved to be a bit slow that night. However, the group remained undeterred and focused on the task at hand.

After a patient wait, their perseverance paid off when they spotted 3 Pigs. With adrenaline pumping, the team sprang into action. In an impressive display of marksmanship, one Hog Hunter successfully took down a Wild Pig on the run from a remarkable distance of 200 yards. The satisfaction of securing that first catch set the tone for the rest of the night.

Another Hog fell shortly thereafter, with the team locating it in the woods, bringing their count to two before midnight. The sense of accomplishment among the Boar Hunters was palpable as they celebrated their success, emphasizing that even in the slow moments, there are reasons to be joyful.

The Thrill of the Hunt

Photo: Mest For Weeks @PigProblem

After midnight, as they resumed their search, the night remained quiet. While the team didn’t encounter any additional Wild Hogs as they made their way back to Americus Ga, the camaraderie amongst the group never waned. They reminisced about the shots fired, shared techniques, and laughed over the unpredictability of Wild Hog Hunting.

The lesson learned was clear: in the world of Thermal Hunting, sometimes progress is measured not by how many Hogs are taken but by the experiences shared and the memories created. A “slow” night didn’t mean a “bad” night. Instead, it reinforced the old adage that a great time can be had when you’re outdoors with friends, regardless of the outcome.

Guide Hank's Team: A Lesson in Patience

Meanwhile, Guide Hank's night took a different direction. “Very slow night,” Hank reported. Guide Clay txted Hank and raised a poignant question: “Is it God’s plan to not find any Pigs?” Hank, ever the optimist, replied that perhaps God was teaching them patience. Just as the night seemed to drag on, at 3:30 AM, Hank spotted a Lone Pig less than 200 yards from the van on the treeline. After a stealthy approach, they successfully took down the Hog with ease. Here’s the moment captured in a photo:

Dragging the Wild Hogs back to the road for a photo op, Hank’s Thermal suddenly revealed six more Wild Hogs emerging from the treeline!
