The first night got off to a promising start. As soon as the group pulled onto the very first field, a Lone Hog presented itself. Ron and Doug wasted no time, making a clean shot and dropping the Wild Pig right where it stood. The rest of the night, however, was quiet. Despite the stillness of the fields, the energy remained high. The Hog Hunters spent the hours swapping stories, sharing laughs, and enjoying the kind of camaraderie that makes nights in the field truly memorable.

The second night brought more action—and a battle with the weather. Thunder and lightning loomed in the distance, but that didn’t slow the Wild Hog Hunt. Three separate Hunting Stalks put the hunters in position, and on one approach, a Hog was still standing when Clayton and Zev moved in. Without hesitation, they lined up side by side and finished the job with precision shots.

Even as the storm rolled in, the night was filled with music, stories, and nonstop conversation. Ron and Doug proved to be not only Skilled Hunters but also great company, making for an Unforgettable Hunt. At Pig Problem, we’ve seen just about everything on a Hunt. Wild Hogs are unpredictable, the terrain can be challenging. Guide Clayton recently led a Hog Hunt that started with some unexpected challenges and ended with a banger in Wild Hog Hunting.

A Hunt to Remember

The first field of the night gave us a quick opportunity—a Single Pig stepped out, and thankfully, it was just 200 yards from the Hunting Van. Dennis was an incredible guy and his family—positive, determined, and just happy to be out there. And when that Pig presented itself, the group made it count. One shot, one Hog Down. Unfortunately, that was the only Wild Pig we saw all night. After covering multiple Farm Felds and scanning every likely spot, the Wild Hogs just weren’t cooperating.

After a slow first night, the second night had to be better… right?

Wrong. The Pigs had vanished. We hit as many spots we could, scanning with thermal, watching tree lines, and hoping for even a glimpse of movement. But the fields were empty, and the night ended without a single shot fired. Some nights are like that. Hogs are smart—they move constantly, and when they don’t want to be found, they won’t be.

After a long night in the field, exhaustion set in, but the results spoke for themselves. Another Successful Hunt, another Great Hunting Experience for the hunters. Hog Hunting is unpredictable. That’s what makes it a challenge - and what makes it so rewarding. Guide Clayton recently took a father and son out for a two-night Thermal Hog Hunt with Pig Problem, and let’s just say, it was a rollercoaster from start to finish.

Night One:

The Waiting Game

The first night? Brutal. Not a single Pig in sight. They covered miles of farmland, scanning fields and checking hot spots, but the hogs weren’t moving. This sudden weather shift - from 70-degree days to freezing nights - had the Pigs acting strange. It was a tough pill to swallow, but that’s part of the Hog Hunt. If it were easy, it wouldn’t be Hunting.

Night Two:

A Test of Patience and Grit

With nothing to show for their first night, the group pushed even harder on night two. Hour after hour, field after field - still nothing. The frustration was real, but so was the determination.

By 5 AM, after nearly 22 hours of Wild Hog Hunting over two nights, they hit their last field. And finally — Wild Pigs!

The moment they had been grinding for finally arrived. The father and son lined up their shots, and when the time was right, they dropped a Massive Hog. After a long, Grueling Hunt, they got their reward.

Pig Problem's Thermal Hog Hunt, led by Guide Kevin, recently wrapped up a thrilling and challenging night Hog Hunt that tested the skills of our Hog Hunters. Under the cover of darkness, our team embarked on a 10-hour Hunting Adventure from 7pm to 5am, utilizing the latest thermal imaging technology to track down their elusive targets.

The night was filled with excitement as our team stumbled upon a Massive Sounder of approximately 18 Wild Hogs, presenting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take down these Cunning Creatures. Despite the difficulty of Hunting moving targets, Guide Kevin and his team remained focused and determined.

After a well-placed shot, the team managed to take down one impressive Hog, a testament to their skill and expertise. However, it's worth noting that Hunting Wild Hogs is an extremely challenging endeavor, requiring precision, patience, and repeated practice.

As Guide Kevin pointed out, "Hunting Wild Hogs is not for the faint of heart. It's a rare individual who can hit a target that's running 15 miles per hour and stands only 3 feet tall." The Hunt is truly a test of skill and endurance, making it all the more satisfying when a successful kill is achieved.

Guide Capt Max had been leading Wild Hog Hunts at Pig Problem for years, but this particular night was shaping up to be one for the books. The first night had been long and challenging, with the Hogs proving to be elusive and cunning. But Guide Capt Max knew that perseverance was key in any Thermal Hunt, and he was determined to make the most of the second night of Hog Hunting.

As the group set out into the darkness, the air was thick with anticipation. The Wild Hogs were out there somewhere, waiting to be found. Guide Capt Max called upon the Pig Gods for assistance, knowing that their guidance would lead them to success.

The team moved through the dense underbrush, their senses on high alert. Suddenly, a rustling in the bushes ahead caught Guide Capt Max's attention. He signaled for the group to stop and listened intently. Sure enough, the distinct sounds of snorting and Grunting filled the air.

As the Wild Pigs burst from the undergrowth, the group sprang into action. Shots rang out, and the Hogs fell one by one. Guide Capt Max watched with satisfaction as the Pile Of Hogs grew larger and larger. The Pig Gods had truly smiled upon them this night.

As the Hog Hunt came to an end, Guide Capt Max couldn't help but reflect on the thrill of the chase. Every moment of the night had been Milked for all it was worth, and the team had emerged victorious. Deer season is finally over!!! We love when Deer Season is over because there is Deer Hunters that Hunt on most of the properties we Hog Hunt. Which means we have to leave different fields at certian times so we don’t interfer with someones Deer Hunt. Last Night Wiid Hogs were everywhere. They had 5 Hog encounters, but we could not stack them up. Grateful to take Micheal, Max, & Nate Hog Hunting. They have been Hunting with Capt Max since the beginning of Pig Problem and we are grateful to have them back!
