Right from the start, these guys were locked in. After a solid game plan and some patient stalking, they got into position and let the thing that takes down the Hogs do the talking. The results? Three Wild Hogs down - two in one setup and another on a separate stalk. That’s the kind of action we love to see.

Guide Hank recently led a 1 Night Thermal Hog Hunt, and while the group didn’t get a chance to put a Wild Hog on the ground, they still had a successful night - because they managed to take down a Coyote instead! When the hogs go into hiding, Predator control becomes the next best target, and we’re always ready to adapt.

The Hunt That Turned Into a Predator Control Mission

Wild Hog Hunting is unpredictable. After the recent snowstorm, the Pigs have been acting strange - maybe the sudden weather shift threw them off their routine. One night they’re everywhere, and the next, they’re ghosts. That’s the challenge of Hunting Wild Hogs: you never know what the night will bring.

But that’s why we love it. Unlike sitting in a stand over a bait pile, our Guided Hunts are all about strategy, movement, and real-time decision-making. At Pig Problem, we love welcoming back our recurring Hunters, and this recent Thermal Hog Hunt with Guide Clayton was truly one for the books! The energy and excitement were palpable as these Seasoned Hunters (who always capture their adventures on YouTube) returned to make more Unforgettable Hunting Memories. After their past successes, which included an astounding 18 Hogs taken in two nights last year, expectations were high, and they did not disappoint!

Night One:

Guide Capt Clayton kicked off the adventure with a night filled with exhilarating moments. “Only the guides will understand how tough it is to go on four different stalks in one night and have all of them work out perfectly,” he shared. And work out they did! Each stalk was executed flawlessly, resulting in a phenomenal success rate. Clayton recounted the excitement of watching the Hogs Drop one after another through the Thermal Optics, creating a visual feast for all involved.

“I didn’t really try hard looking for pigs; they just kept popping up,” Clayton remarked with a smile. “The wind and stalks were just too easy every single time.” Nights like these remind us why we love this job: it’s an exhilarating game where the odds are in our favor! On that incredible first night, the hunters managed to take down 10 Pigs—an impressive feat that set the stage for more excitement to come.

Night Two:

Keeping the Momentum Going

With their adrenaline still high from the previous night, the Pro Hog Hunters returned for round two. On this night, the groove continued as they landed another 8 Wild Hogs, culminating in a total of 18 Piggies taken over two nights! Clayton couldn’t help but express his awe at their shooting skills: “It’s amazing to watch pigs drop instead of them making it to the trees,” he explained.

Each Hog Hunt is not just about the number but the experience shared and the laughter echoed in the night. Guided by Clayton's expertise and the group’s sharpshooting, it was clear that everyone was having an absolute blast.

Guided by the intrepid and passionate Guide Clayton, this Hunting Trip was filled with camaraderie, laughter, and, of course, some Thrilling Hunts. Night One:

The first night started with pure joy and excitement as Frank, Paul, and Grover settled into their Hog Hunting routine. These three gentlemen are not just clients; they’ve become friends over the past three years. They took down three impressive Wild Pigs on this first night—a fantastic start to their adventure!

A particular highlight of the night was the discovery of a Pig that exhibited signs of Rabies. Guide Clayton quickly communicated with Maximus, who confirmed the pig's condition. It’s important to note that pigs can indeed contract rabies, a serious illness that can pose risks to both animals and humans. Grover expressed their relief at having the pig taken down, emphasizing the importance of safety when Wild Hog Hunting. This moment not only illuminated the potential hazards of Wild Hogs With Rabies but also showcased the Hog Hunters’ awareness and respect for Hunting Safety.

Recently, a group of four eager Hunters joined Guide Hank for a 1 Night Hog Hunt that showcased the thrill of the chase, even when the night unfolded a bit differently than expected.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the team set off to a field in Albany Ga, their hearts filled with anticipation. The atmosphere was electrifying, yet the Hunting conditions proved to be a bit slow that night. However, the group remained undeterred and focused on the task at hand.

After a patient wait, their perseverance paid off when they spotted 3 Pigs. With adrenaline pumping, the team sprang into action. In an impressive display of marksmanship, one Hog Hunter successfully took down a Wild Pig on the run from a remarkable distance of 200 yards. The satisfaction of securing that first catch set the tone for the rest of the night.

Another Hog fell shortly thereafter, with the team locating it in the woods, bringing their count to two before midnight. The sense of accomplishment among the Boar Hunters was palpable as they celebrated their success, emphasizing that even in the slow moments, there are reasons to be joyful.
