Two Nights with Guide Zev:

Long Stalks, Predator Control, and First-Time Hunters

Photo: Someone Give The Pig A Napkin, He Has A Nose Bleed… @PigProblem

Every Hog Hunt is different, and this 2 Night Hunting Trip with Guide Zev was no exception. With a mix of long Hunting Stalks, Predator Control, and First-Time Hunters eager to learn, it was an exciting couple of nights in the fields.

Night 1:

Photo: Coyote Down @PigProblem

A Strong Start with Hogs and Coyotes

The hunt started off strong, dropping a coyote in the very first field. A promising sign of the action to come.

Photo: Nap Time @PigProblem

Later in the night, the group spotted a Single Hog at 850 yards. Rather than rushing in, they took a slow, methodical stalk to close the distance. When they finally got into position, the shot was perfect, and the Hog Dropped where it stood.

A second opportunity came at a spot near Preston. Another single hog presented itself, and they took the shot—but this one wasn’t as clean. The hog got back up and managed to escape into the darkness. It happens, but the thrill of the hunt was still there.

Night 2:

No Pigs, But Plenty of Excitemen

Photo: Predator Hunting @PigProblem

The same group was back for round two, and Zev quickly realized these were some of the easiest Hunters to guide. They were super chill, excited about everything, and willing to listen and learn.

While the Wild Pigs didn’t cooperate, the night still had plenty of action. A Coyote went down, and they even took a shot at a beaver, keeping things interesting. For hunters with almost no experience—barely even handling guns before this Hunting Trip—they followed every instruction perfectly. Zev had nothing but praise for them, saying, “I love these guys.”

Battling the Elements & Bagging Hogs with Guide Hank

Night Hunting

Photo: “Put Your Hands Up” @PigProblem

At Pig Problem, we know every Hog Hunt is different—some nights are nonstop action, and others test your patience. But no matter what, we adapt, strategize, and make the most of every opportunity. Guide Hank just wrapped up a 2 Night Hog Hunt, and it was a prime example of how Unpredictable Hog Hunting can be.

Night 1:

Deer Everywhere, Pigs Nowhere

The first night started with promise—plenty of deer moving through the fields, but the Pigs were nowhere to be found. As the night went on, the reason became clear. A massive storm was rolling in, bringing heavy wind, rain, and lightning. Right before it hit, the fields went dead silent—no movement, no signs of life. The animals knew what was coming, and so did we. Instead of pushing our luck and getting soaked, we called it early, knowing we’d have another shot the next night.

Night 2:

Success in the Wind

Hog Hunting

Photo: Hogs Down @PigProblem

The second night brought its own challenge—strong winds—but we weren’t about to let that stop us. After covering a lot of ground with little to show for it, we finally spotted a couple of Wild Pigs. Using the tree line for cover and staying out of the moonlight, we made a short stalk into range. A couple of well-placed shots later, we had our Hogs for the night.

Even though we checked several more fields without luck, the Wild Hog Hunt was still a success. That’s Hog Hunting for you—some nights are easy, others make you work for it. But with persistence, smart tactics, and a little patience, the payoff always comes.

At Pig Problem, some of our Favorite Hunts are the ones that bring families together. There’s nothing better than seeing Young Hunters experience the thrill of hunting for the first time. Recently, Guide Max, the owner of Pig Problem, led a Father-Son Hunt, and it was one to remember.

The Hunt

Photo: Thermal Hunting @PigProblem

With patience and strategy, they spotted a Single Boar and moved in carefully. Using the tree canopy as a natural backdrop, they executed a mild stalk, closing the distance for the perfect shot. When the moment was right, they took the Wild Boar down - an exciting and rewarding experience for the young hunter.

Testing the Waters with Pig Problem:

A Four-Night Thermal Hog Hunt Recap

Guided by Clayton, three Seasoned Hog Hunters joined Pig Problem for a 4-Night Thermal Hog Hunt in South Georgia. These guys were no strangers to Night Hunting - they had been Hog Hunting with another Hunting Outfitter for years, but with their usual guide retiring, they decided to give Pig Problem a shot. They were used to putting down double-digit numbers of Hogs each night, which is a rare feat, not because of a lack of Pigs, but because most Hunters don’t capitalize on the opportunities when a field is full of them.

Night 1:

A Sounder and a Start

Hog Hunting

Photo: Guess What’s Better Than 0? ….1 @PigProblem

The Hog Hunt kicked off with high expectations. The group encountered a Sounder of Hogs early on, taking shots and managing to drop one Wild Pig. It wasn’t the massive numbers they were used to, but it was a start. The guys were getting a feel for the setup, Clayton’s guiding style, and the way Pig Problem Hunts.

Night 2:

A Mechanical Mishap and Midnight Repairs

Wild Hog Hunting

Photo: Guess What Is Better Than 1? …..2 @PigProblem

Things got interesting on the second night, and not just because of the Wild Hog Hunting. Earlier that day, the Hunting Van had a tire rotation, but whoever worked on it forgot to tighten the lug nuts properly. By 2:30 AM, Clayton realized the van was wobbling badly, making it unsafe to drive. Luckily, Megan, our go-to assistant/manager/problem-solver, came to the rescue. She rolled in with a jack and all the tools needed to tighten everything up, saving Clayton from a roadside disaster.

After the unexpected pit stop, the guys got back to Thermal Hog Hunting around 3:30 AM and managed to take down two more Piggies before sunrise.

Night 3:

Precision Stalks Pay Off

Pig Hunting

Photo: Guess What’s… JUST KIDDING. Oh Yeah. Oh Yeah. Oh Yeah. @PigProblem

Hunting Hogs

Photo: The Final Piggy @PigProblem

The third night was all about stealth and accuracy. They went on two separate stalks, each time finding a Single Hog, and each time dropping it clean. Some nights aren’t about chasing massive sounders it’s about making every shot count. Two pigs down, zero wasted opportunities.

Night 4:

The Fog Takes Over

The final night was a test of patience, but not because of the pigs. Thick fog rolled in, making Thermal Equipment nearly useless. Clayton said he couldn’t see more than 50 yards in front of him - even the Hog Hunting Van, parked just 100 yards away, disappeared in the haze. At 1:30 AM, with visibility still next to nothing, they called it a night.

Final Thoughts:

Did They Like Pig Problem?

Despite a slow first night and a fogged-out final night, the hunters got 5 Wild Hogs Down in three nights, dealt with a wild van situation, and got a full taste of what Hunting with Pig Problem is all about. It’s never just about numbers - it’s about adapting, making the most of every opportunity, and having a damn good time doing it.

So, did these guys like Pig Problem Inc enough to make it their new go-to Hog Hunting Outfitter? We sure hope so. But as always, the pigs will be here, the fields will be ready, and Clayton will be out there waiting for the next crew to take on the challenge.

2 Nights Of Hog Hunting

The Great Pig Problem:

Lessons from Hank’s Two-Night Hog Hunt

Photo: Nothing Is Better Than This @PigProblem

When it comes to Wild Hog Hunting, every Hunting Trip is a unique adventure, filled with triumphs and challenges. Recently, our Guide Hank led a group of Hunters on a 2 Night Hunting Expedition that certainly delivered on both fronts. Join us as we dive into the highs and lows of this Unforgettable Hog Hunt.

Night 1:

A Roaring Start

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunting @PigProblem

From the moment we set foot in the first field, it was clear that this Hog Hunt was going to be one for the books. Hank recounted one of the loudest stalks he’s ever experienced, as we trekked through the frozen cut corn and melted icy snow. It was a test of patience and skill, but with some determination, we managed to get within 100 yards of the Wild Pigs.

In a flash of adrenaline-fueled action, we successfully secured 3 Pigs before they vanished into the brush, leaving us high on success but hungry for more. The Thrill of the Hunt pushed us onward, and we searched tirelessly throughout the night for additional opportunities to strike. While our efforts did not yield further Piggies, the first night was nothing short of triumphant—a fantastic kick-off to our Hunting Adventure!

Night 2:

The Wild Side of Hunting

Photo: Hunting Coyotes @PigProblem

As dusk fell on our second evening, reality set in. While the first night had blessed us with immediate satisfaction, the second brought a different kind of challenge. Despite our excitement and the promise of what lay ahead, it was a late night filled with empty returns.

Our strategy almost paid off when we saw a Sounder of Hogs just across a neighboring property, but they remained tantalizingly out of reach, teasing us with their presence. Instead, we opted to shift focus and scouted for other opportunities, which led us to a brief encounter with a Coyote. Although we didn’t manage to score a shot, the experience was capitalized with a cool photo that perfectly captured the essence of the Coyote Hunt.

As the night wore on, it became clear that this is the reality of Thermal Wild Hog Hunting: some nights yield incredible success while others put our patience to the test. Hank reflected on the experience, remarking how different things might have been if we’d resorted to baiting or sitting in a stand, but that’s just not our style. We’re a band of hunters who thrive on the wild, unpredictable nature of the chase.

Final Thoughts

Photo: Stalking Wild Hogs @PigProblem

This Pig Problem Guide is more than just a summary of what happened in two nights; it’s a testament to the spirit of Hog Hunting itself. It’s about embracing the exhilarating highs, the frustrating lows, and everything in between. While Hank may not have brought them home a dozen pigs, the memories made and the fellowship shared under the stars are what truly enrich the experience.

So here’s to the next Wild Hog Hunt—a reminder that in the world of Guided Hog Hunting, you never know what will happen next. Until then, stay rugged and keep chasing those Wild Hunts. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Happy hunting!

A Wild Hog Hunting Adventure:

Three Nights Under the Stars with Capt. Clayton

Photo: Piggies Down @PigProblem

Photo: Thermal Hog Hunting @PigProblem

As the temperatures dipped below freezing in South Georgia, a group of four adventurous individuals joined us for an exhilarating 3 Night Wild Hog Hunting experience. Led by our skilled Guide Capt. Clayton, the team came ready to embrace the thrill and challenges that awaited them in the wild.

Night 1: The Hunt Begins

The group, excited for their long-awaited Hunting Adventure—originally planned for October but rescheduled—wasted no time getting into the action. Right off the bat, they showcased their skills and camaraderie, managing to take down 3 Hogs on their first night! It was an exhilarating kickoff that not only set the tone for the rest of the Hog Hunting Trip but also rekindled the spirit of adventure among friends who were thrilled to immerse themselves in the Wild Hog Hunt.

Night 2: The Early Bird Doesn’t Always Get the Worm

“Oh hi there. My name is Clay, and I only see pigs at 4 a.m.” Megan told Clay that he would see Wild Pigs at 2:30. So Guide Clay was upset that she lied to him.

Despite one of the Hunters—who chose to “hold down the fort” in the van—being less inclined to join us on the stalk that night. The Hog Hunters after the Stalk to Wild Hogs set up there tripods and turned on the Thermal. 3,2, Bang! Another one bites the dust. Thermal Hunting is the best.

Night 3: The Search Goes On

Our final night of the Hunting Adventure took us on a quest through the South Georgia Farm Fields, scanning for Hogs as the temperature plunged to what felt like an Arctic chill. The crew remained optimistic, driving around in search of the Elusive Wild Hogs that seem to know how to evade our best efforts. After a long night, we couldn’t find any Pigs, but this didn’t seem to dampen spirits—the thrill of the chase and the joy of the experience outweighed the lack of success in the Hog Hunt.

As we wrapped up the Hunting Trip, it was evident that this group had created lasting Hunting Memories together over these few days of Guided Hog Hunting. Although we didn’t meet all of our goals, the camaraderie shared and experiences gained made it an Unforgettable Hunting outing.

Conclusion: Book Your Adventure Today!

As our guests departed, wrapped in warm Hunting Memories and shared laughter, we couldn’t help but hope they enjoyed their time in the wilds of South Georgia—even with the Ice-Cold Temperatures In Georgia! Nighttime Adventures at Pig Problem

A Memorable Evening of Hog Hunting

Last night at Pig Problem was nothing short of exhilarating, as two groups set out on their 1 Night Hog Hunts. Guided by the experienced Guide Capt. Max and Guide Capt. Clayton, the Hog Hunters were eager to test their skills in the field.

Guide Capt. Max's Hunt: A Foggy Foray

Under the cover of mist and fog, Guide Capt. Max led his group through the night. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the Wild Hogs were abundant in every field they explored. With keen eyes and steady hands, the Hunters successfully tracked down two Wild Hogs, capturing the thrill of the Hog Hunt amidst the eerie landscape. The hunt showcased both the beauty of nature and the adrenaline rush that comes with pursuing game.

Guide Capt. Clayton's Hunt: A Dramatic Encounter

Meanwhile, Peanut Protector Guide Capt. Clayton's group had an equally memorable experience, albeit with a different twist. They stumbled upon a Solitary Pig in the very first field they entered and swiftly executed their shot with precision. Guide Clayton humorously described the takedown as “a 600lbs person falling from a plane without a parachute.” It was a sight to behold, and although the rest of the night yielded no further sightings, the excitement of that first encounter left an indelible mark.

Here’s a glimpse of Clayton’s epic discovery:

Two Nights of Hog Hunting with Peanut Protector, Guide Capt. Clayton

Photo: This Is How We Do Things @PigProblem

At Pig Problem, the team embraces the wild, unpredictable, and downright hilarious adventures that come with Hog Hunting. Recently, Guide Capt. Clayton, affectionately known as the Peanut Protector, had the pleasure of leading a fantastic group on a 2 Night Hog Hunting excursion, filled with unforgettable stories and plenty of laughter.

Night 1: Old Friends and New Adventures

Reuniting with familiar faces is always a treat in the Hunting world. On this trip, Andy and John returned after successfully Wild Hog Hunting with Pig Problem Inc two years ago. With excitement in the air, the Hog Hunt began.

Early in the night, the group spotted a small hog lounging in a peanut field, surrounded by a curious gathering of deer. The evening appeared to be brimming with potential!

Photo: Pro Hog Hunters @PigProblem

As they carefully moved through the flipped peanut field, Andy and John found a good vantage point. After taking aim, they took two shots, successfully dropping the Hog. However, the excitement didn’t end there; as the group approached the Wild Hog, they realized it was still alive. In a great show of teamwork, Andy handed over his SIG P322 pistol, equipped with a suppressor and TLR8, to Capt. Clayton for the final dispatch, turning a tense moment into a shared experience.

Although the rest of the night was quieter—only spotting a few deer—the camaraderie on the Hunt kept spirits high. One particularly amusing instance was Andy’s unique countdown method whenever he prepared to take a shot. While our guides count down “3, 2, BANG,” Andy preferred “3, 2, Big Titties.” Capt. Clayton couldn’t help but chuckle at Andy's seriousness whenever he expressed this countdown style on the range.

Night 2: A Little Bit of Chaos

If Night 1 was memorable, Night 2 was nothing short of exhilarating. The group kicked off the night with the excitement of taking down 2 Wild Hogs and a Coyote .

Photo: Wild Hog Hunting In Ga @PigProblem

Capt. Clayton quickly spotted a single Pig early in the night, but as they began their stalk, a deer started snorting loudly, spooking the Wild Pig back into the safety of the trees. Capt. Clayton humorously reflected on the situation, imagining himself choking out a deer right on the spot—a testament to his frustration with deer as the second least favorite animal to encounter at night. Number one on that list? Birds—Capt. Clayton had no love for birds either.

After a long stretch of quiet, the nighttime adventure picked up again around 2 AM, and the team had a solid opportunity to take aim at (another) coyote, resulting in a successful shot.

Photo: Andy Wasn’t Mistaken With This Coyote @PigProblem

A Memorable Experience

While the first night had its challenges, the laughter and camaraderie made everything worthwhile. Each Wild Hog Hunt brings unique obstacles and surprises, and it’s often the unexpected moments—like deer creating chaos—that create the Best Hunting Memories.

As the Two-Night Hunting Adventure came to a close, the team expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share their passion for Nighttime Hunting with a group excited to embrace the wild experiences that come with it. Every adventure brings everyone closer together, creating unforgettable stories to cherish.

Thanks to Andy and John who joined Capt. Clayton on this Two-Night Hunting Trip. The crew at Pig Problem Inc is already looking forward to their next round in the field. For those interested in embarking on their own Thermal Hog Hunting adventure, reaching out to Pig Problem is a must—who knows what memories may lie ahead!
